What is the Dish Recovery Act?
The Dish Network Recovery Act is a program funded by the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA), focusing on providing a low cost, high speed Internet solutions to unserviced rural area’s. The program targets area’s that availability of a broadband internet service is not yet available and will be unserviced by traditional based high speed internet service providers. Customer eligibility is based on their address. The address must be a standard U.S Postal Service formatted address and cannot include P.O. Boxes. This program is open to new Hughesnet members only.
How to find out if you Qualify for the Dish Recovery Act

You must also confirm that you current do not have a subscription to high-speed internet which is defined as 768 kbps at the installation address, and that to your knowledge no service is currently available to you. With the Dish Recovery Act you will receive a normal Hughes net Standard Installation. This includes the installer mounting and grounding a satellite dish at your residence. The antenna must be accessible with a 25 foot ladder and have a clear view of the the southern sky. If needed the installer can mount the dish on a pole. This pole must be one that is approved by Hughesnet and the antenna must be 5 feet off the ground, and out of reach of children. If a roof or wall mount is the option the surface must be able to support the antenna and servicing technician safely. The dish cannot be mounted on a slate or metal roof, or aluminum or vinyl siding. The installation also includes 125 feet of coax cable to connect the dish and modem. An example of a non standard installation is computer networking, or networking equipment.
