Get Help with the Status Lights on your Hughesnet Modem
Some common problems with your Hughesnet connection can be diagnosed easily by your status lights. There are five lights on the HN9000 and the HN7000 modems: Lan, Transmit, Receive, Status, and Power. The power light should remain on as long as the Hughesnet modem is plugged into a wall outlet. The Lan light will indicate that you have a connection to a computer or a router. The other three lights will indicate the status of the signal of the satellite. Hughesnet is a two-way satellite internet connection so in order for it to work properly both states "transmit and receive" will have to be locked on the Hughesnet network.
